Houdini Abstract Whirpool
This was a fun project where I took a dive into Houdini. I had an existing whirlpool simulation on my machine from a past R&D, so I thought, why not try and turn them into something a bit more abstract?
Using the particles simulation, I used Houdini to scatter points, then finally instancing each a sphere geometry to each point. I was also able to use the velocity channel to map a colour gradient so each sphere was coloured based off the speed.
This was rendered with Redshift.
